Description:  Instead of going to Claremont, P95s high-hood power does its runaround in the old Carolina & Northwestern Yard in Newton on the South Newton Lead where it has its "Mill Job". This move is not possible today, as both of the outer sidings have been placed out of service.

Description:  The long-hood of this veteran High-Hood up close and personal. Doing a switching move around its train, P95, in the old Carolina & Northwestern Yard at Newton. Thats a narrow gauge boxcar that ran the line in the late 1800s, now restored and sheltered at the Southeastern Narrow Gauge & Shortline Museum that also calls that area home.

The South Newton Lead is only operated for one mile as a spur off of the NS S-Line, although rails are still in place many miles south to the other side of Maiden, NC.
